Glamping The Lake District
The Quiet Site is the perfect place for glamping in Lake District. We pride ourselves on being both family orientated and sustainable. Experience glamping in one of our Camping Pods, Hobbit Hole or Bell Tents. With no tent to put up or pack away your holiday got a lot less stressful. Facilities at this multi award winning park includes the famous Quiet Bar (probably the best campsite bar in Britain), a well stocked shop, children’s playground, modern shower blocks including private family bathrooms, secure bike store, toddlers soft play, a laundry room,an awesome view and lots more!
The Pod is a timber built, insulated hut designed to be used just like a tent but unlike a tent it is already set up on the site, ready for you to move in! Each Pod has plenty of headroom and a floor area of 2.3 metres by 2.7 metres – ample space for 2 people or even 2 adults and 2 small children.
The Pod is designed to accommodate the variable British weather with ample ventilation for the hot days and lamb’s wool insulation for those chillier times – a wooden ‘tent’ for all seasons and offers a higher level of security than a canvas tent. All you need to bring is your camping gear – minus the tent.
The Pods are completely empty on arrival. They have a carpeted floor and a light wood interior.
Experience life in a Hobbit Hole… Our Hobbit Hole is a large underground living space with a great view. Superbly insulated and energy efficient, secure and virtually invisible unless you know where to look.
The inside area is 15m2 and accommodates a family of up to 6 people. A large soft covered sleep ledge (3m x 2m) covers one end. There is also a bench, table, bin, heater, lights, plugs and USB charge sockets.
Outside there is a large covered patio with an awesome view. A picnic table and two deck chairs enable a real inside/outside living experience. In the area in front of the hobbit hole is a BBQ stone for portable BBQs.
All you need to bring is your camping gear – minus the tent.
Bell Tents are well made, water proof, good looking but most importantly, they are already up when you arrive! Each Bell Tent has plenty of headroom and ample space for up to 2 adults and 4 children.
The Bell Tents are designed to accommodate the variable British weather with ample ventilation for the hot days. Again all you need to bring is your camping gear – minus the tent. The Bell Tents are completely empty on arrival.
Bell Tents come with an electrical plug socket for charging phones etc and mains lights.
