Glamping Hare Farm Hideaways offers a touch of luxury glamping near the beautiful, medieval town of Rye in Sussex. The Shepherd’s Hut is set in its own private idyll in Chestnuts field, sheltered by a copse, looking over towards a lake and with far reaching views down the Brede Valley.
The Hut has been built by a company in Dorset who care deeply about quality and heritage. It replicates the shape and look of of its authentic origins as a shepherd’s shelter, but now includes the modern elements and detailing for a taste of glamping. Very few shepherd’s huts are based on a working farm, with sheep all around and with only one hut in the field. Too often there are several huts and not a sheep in sight.
The shepherd’s Hut is perfect for couples whether wanting relax and recharge batteries in their own piece of countryside, on a “Darling Buds of May farm” surrounded by nature, or used as a base to explore a wide variety of places and activities.
Explore – Rye, just 15 minutes drive away, is a medieval town offering a mix of traditional and contemporary. There is a huge range of eateries, from quant tea rooms, to the famous Mermaid inn and the boutique George Inn and anything in between. Visit antique/vintage shops, book and gift shops, art galleries and the heritage centre amongst others. Stroll along the cobbled side streets and visit the beautiful church or perhaps the new cinema Kino Rye.
