Glamping  Cornwall

Glamping in Cornwall at Little Trethvas is the best way to enjoy a holiday on the south west coast. We are located on the Lizard Peninsula with an array of fantastic beaches, wonderful walks, scrumptious food, scenic drives through sleepy villages and wooded valleys. Here you can embrace all that the Cornish coast has to offer.

Our glamping accommodation includes bell tents and a tipi, all furnished to provide guests with a wonderful and comfortable stay. All guests have access to shared camping facilities including hot showers and our fantastic wood fired pizza oven which is lit once a week. The glamping site offers a great community spirit. Our site is only 3 acres so small enough to be quaint and special and very friendly. Children make friends really easily and it’s a really safe environment for them to play in so you can relax.

BELL TENTS
Our three bell tents are beautiful with each one equipped with everything that you would need for a comfortable holiday including

  • Double bed
  • Bedside tables
  • Full size futon to sleep two more
  • Chest of drawers
  • Storage baskets for all of your bits and bobs
  • Wood-burning stove to keep you warm and cosy on chilly nights

All of our bell tents are decorated with pretty rugs, quirky cushions and gorgeous throws. The bedding and duvets are incredibly comfortable, made with feather and down, as are the pillows, but we do have alternatives if requested. All will be ready for you on arrival.

OUTDOOR KITCHEN
Alongside your bell tent you will also have a gazebo to house your outside kitchen, table and 4 chairs. Enjoy an outdoor dining experience with the gorgeous landscape of the Lizard Peninsula surrounding you.

All cutlery, crockery, storage containers and utensils are supplied for you. We also supply a camp cooker and BBQ, with enough wood for your first fire in the stove. If you run out, more is available locally.

THE TIPI
More details coming soon….
The Tipi will sleep six comfortably and will be ready by April.

Whether you want arts, culture, or are simply seeking to escape to the coast, there really is something that everyone can enjoy here.

From the campsite, explore the echoic creeks that branch off the Helford River.  If history is your thing, we have Iron Age settlements, barrows and, of course, the tin mines to visit. This area is known as ‘The Menage’. In Cornish, this means ‘Land of the Saints’, and you will find paths dotted with Celtic crosses where early Christian pilgrims walked the peninsula.

Seals and basking sharks frequent these coasts so keep a lookout on the cliff paths. The Cornish Chough is an elusive bird but can be seen on the cliffs and kestrels and buzzards patrol the thermals over the downs.

Standing stones and Quoits dot the countryside and more evidence of prehistoric man often be found in the fields, sharp edged flints and fragments of pottery. Moving on to the 19th century at Poltesco and Porthallow remains of the quarries can be explored.
